Angiofibroma

definition

Angiofibroma is a benign neoplasm of fibrous tissue in which there are numerous small and large, frequently dilated, vascular channels. Typical lesions are erythematous papules or nodules occurring bilaterally, symmetrically over the nasolabial folds. Angiofibromas present in 85% of cases over the age of five in tuberous sclerosis syndrome.
