Clinical syndrome of unknown origin characterized by a progressive bluish to ash-grey hyperpigmentation. Macules in varying shades of grey with a slightly raised erythematous margin occur mainly on the face, trunk, and upper limbs. The lesions tend to coalesce. This disorder is persistent but asymptomatic.
