Progeria Adultorum

definition

Premature aging in adults. It is transmitted as an autosomal recessive trait and characterized principally by sclerodermal skin changes (especially of the extremities), cataracts, subcutaneous calcification, muscular atrophy, a tendency to diabetes mellitus, aged appearance of the face, baldness, and a high incidence of neoplastic disease.
