Acrodermatitis Continua Suppurativa Hallopeau

Localized pustular psoriasis affecting initially the tips of fingers or toes which tends slowly to extend locally and, especially in the elderly, may evolve into generalized pustular psoriasis. The skin over the distal phalanx becomes red and scaly and pustules develop. Desiccation of pustules may leave a bright red, glazed, very sore and painful digit. Involvement of the nail folds and nail bed leads to nail dystrophy.
