Tumour of lymphatic origin most commonly noted at birth or appearing during childhood. It is characterized by groups of small deep-seated vesicles often filled with fresh or altered blood. Common sites of involvement include the proximal limbs, axillary folds, shoulders, neck, tongue, and mucous membranes. Although usually localized, the lesions may be quite extensive.
